FCRA MASTERS PROGRAM
Always wanted to give it a try? What's stopping you?
The learn to row class is encouraged if you're new to rowing and wish to move on to private coaching and/or membership.
This three day class will acquaint you with the sport of rowing, stroke, safety and terminology.
The learn to row is one of our club's biggest fundraisers and keeps us up and running to support our mission to promote rowing to the Northern Colorado community and teach juniors rowing and skills that translates to a positive life.
About our Learn to Row program

What to wear: Comfortable (not baggy) athletic clothing. Although we have a launching dock, please come with the understanding that you will get wet. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet. Sunscreen and hats are recommended. Also, it's important to bring drinking water.
County parking permit: If you don't have a parks pass, please stop at the parking pay station to purchase a day pass.
All sessions will be held at our private dock located at Inlet Bay Marina at Horsetooth Reservoir. Each class will run about 2 hours per day.
2023 Learn to row
June 9-11 (Full)
July 7-9 (Full)
Friday 6-8 p.m., Sat/Sun 7-9 a.m.
Each participant will have the opportunity to row for four free sessions following their Learn to Row class before becoming a member. There will be dedicated times set up for novice rowers.
The water at Horsetooth is extremely cold in spring and early summer. All rowing activity is at the rower’s risk. If a situation doesn’t feel right, either do not row or if you are rowing, get off the water ASAP. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.
Please watch this video that talks about rowing and water safety.
